Nadal Battles Back to Claim Thrilling Victory

Over Four Hours of Intense Tennis Ends in Nadal's Favor

In a captivating quarterfinal match that lasted over four hours, Rafael Nadal overcame world No. 1 Novak Djokovic in four sets 6-2, 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (4) at the French Open. Nadal, who is seeking his record-extending 23rd Grand Slam title and a 15th French Open crown, got out to an early 5-1 lead in the opening set and never looked back, taking it 6-2. Djokovic responded by winning the second set 6-4, but Nadal regained control in the third set, winning 6-2. The fourth set was a thrilling affair, with both players holding serve until the tiebreaker, where Nadal ultimately prevailed 7-4.

The victory marked a significant milestone for Nadal, as it was his 110th match win at the French Open, tying him with Djokovic for most wins at any Grand Slam event. It also extended Nadal's winning streak at Roland Garros to 22 consecutive matches.

"It was a very special match," said Nadal after the match. "I'm very happy to be in the semifinals. It's always a pleasure to play against Novak. He's a great champion, and it's always a challenge to play against him. I'm just glad I was able to win today."

Nadal will now face Alexander Zverev in the semifinals on Friday.
